Why the Prescott area?

There are a multitude of reasons for entertaining the idea of moving to the Prescott area, which includes Prescott Valley, Chino Valley and Dewey-Humboldt. Here is a small sampling of the reasons: We enjoy an abundance of outdoor activities, such as kayaking on one of our four beautiful lakes, or taking a hike on one of our many trails.We have pickleball, mountain biking, dog parks,and the National Forest, offering something for everyone. Here is the bonus, you can do all of this while enjoying our mild climate. We have four, distinct seasons and each one allows outdoor exploring in its own way.

Downtown Prescott, centered around the Courthouse Plaza, is the heartbeat of our historic town.  This area designated Prescott as “Everyone’s Hometown”! Downtown Prescott consists of locally unique and family-owned businesses ranging from charming boutiques, a plethora of art galleries, amazing restaurants, The infamous Whiskey Row, and delicious sweet shops.  Local musicians play nightly in the many establishments downtown as well! Oh, and the history!! So much history lives on throughout our buildings you can almost feel the past around you!   But the best part about hanging out around the Courthouse Plaza are the yearly events and festivals that the town puts on for locals and visitors alike!  These consist of holiday parades, annual courthouse lighting, art fairs, farmer’s markets, Bluegrass Festival, summer concert series, car shows and so much more!! Since Prescott is centrally located in Arizona, it is a perfect launching point for exploring nearby towns and cities, all within a two hour drive.  These cities include the beautiful landscape of Sedona which is a haven for avid hikers and nature lovers.  Jerome is just a stone’s throw away and is full of unique boutique shops, restaurants and lots of haunted history!

 Exploring the Verde Valley which consists of Cottonwood, Camp Verde and Page Springs is also a must do.  Tons of wineries, eateries and shopping along with a stunning train ride makes this area very popular. And we can’t forget the Williams and Flagstaff area.  Both deliver stunning landscapes and outdoor activities along with quaint shops and restaurants.

The Prescott area offers many options for entertainment and recreation but what about the basics? Prescott and Prescott Valley have many retailers to choose from whether national chains or local.  We also have movie theaters, gyms, car washes, many chain and local restaurants, bowling alley, a multipurpose arena for sporting events and concerts, plus so much more!
